My favorite coffee shop - a trip to Windham isn't complete without stopping in Higher Grounds. Enjoy beautiful photography of fall foliage, mountains covered in snow, and nature scenes by local photographer Francis X. Driscoll. The "Big Hollow Blend" coffee is a favorite type of brew to enjoy. Higher Grounds also has delicious sandwiches - we recommend the Caprese Panini and Veggie Wraps

Windham Mountain is a family-friendly ski place, and offers great lessons for first timers. Enjoy the waffle house located on the slope, and great views of the Catskills from the top and the chair lifts.
We also recommend relaxing inside and enjoying the view - save us a seat at the bonfire pit!

Windham Mountain Village
Windham Mountain is a family-friendly ski place, and offers great lessons for first timers. Enjoy the waffle house located on the slope, and great views of the Catskills from the top and the chair lifts.
We also recommend relaxing inside and enjoying the view - save us a seat at the bonfire pit!

The Windham Path is a beloved part of the Catskills. Approximately 2 miles long, the path will take you alongside fields of tall grass, a rumbling river, over a covered bridge, and through patches of tall trees.
There are some hills (not very strenuous) on the path. It is a local favorite place to stretch your legs and take in the great views of the mountains.

The Windham Path
4982 NY-23The Windham Path is a beloved part of the Catskills. Approximately 2 miles long, the path will take you alongside fields of tall grass, a rumbling river, over a covered bridge, and through patches of tall trees.
There are some hills (not very strenuous) on the path. It is a local favorite place to stretch your legs and take in the great views of the mountains.
Kaaterskill Falls offers breathtaking views, a tremendous waterfall, and moderate-to-more-strenuous hiking options.
Please note - to access the hiking path, it is necessary to park in a lot and walk alongside a highway (roughly 5 min walk). There is not a sidewalk along the highway, so we recommend exercising caution when walking to the path.
It is also not recommended to hike directly behind the waterfall, or to cliff dive, as this can result in serious injury.
