Get the the city centre by train

Get to the city centre from the Edge Hill Station is easy. Trains from the Edge Hill to the Lime Street is on approximately every 15 minutes and takes only 4 minutes to arrive. After arriving the Lime Street station you are basically at the heart of Liverpool city centre where Liverpool one (Liverpool's biggest shopping area), Liverpool Library and the World Museum are within the walking distance.
