It is famous for it's book shops but there are plenty of other quirky independent shops selling all manner of things. It's 12 miles from the house.

This is a lovely tranquil spot in the middle of the Black Mountains. You can walk up the hills, wander round the ruins and finish off with a drink in hotel. Approx 40 minutes from the house
