Food Scene
You don’t have to travel all the way to Ipoh to get your hands on the city’s famous ‘nasi ganja’; Nasi Vanggey Ipoh – and their two Shah Alam outposts in Section 7 and Kompleks PKNS in Section 14 – offer a worthy substitute. What makes the difference here are the ayam goreng merah, mix of house-made curries – which carry deeper, but less spicy flavours compared to other nasi kandar curries – as well as coconut chutney paste served on the side.

i-City is a 72 acre ICT-based urban development beside the Federal Highway in Section 7, Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. i-City was designed as a fully integrated intelligent city, comprising corporate, leisure and residential components such as a 1 million sq. ft. regional shopping mall, office towers, Cybercentre office suites, hotels, apartments, data centers, and an innovation center.

It has also been endorsed as a tourism destination by the Ministry of Tourism and declared an International Park by the Selangor State Government. Seeing public spaces as critical vehicles for cultivating creative identities, the council organised an art competition and picked the works of ten finalists from each category – 3D painting, 3D installation, street furniture and painting-on-site – to be featured on the allocated walls.
A continuation of Laman Seni 2 in Section 2 (the first project that championed the same cause), Laman Seni 7 will be geared more towards art appreciation while drawing attention to social issues. Graffiti artists and the authorities have never seen eye to eye but with this legal venue, street artists can finally express themselves from wall to wall.

It features water slides, pools and various rides, as well as one of the world's biggest artificial surf beaches. The Sunway Wildlife Park also resides here and contains plenty of exotic creatures, while the Extreme Park offers paintballing and all-terrain driving. In addition, there is a shopping mall onsite, known as the Pyramid, and a wacky museum tour where the exhibits come to life, based within the resident Scream Park.

However, its complex and fully functional flight control system complete with the dozens of knobs and lighted buttons that would seem like alien gizmos to the layman.

This little-known outdoor multisport facility is located near the Shah Alam library and Stadium Melawati. Activities available include paintball,skating, biking, climbing and bouldering. Ample parking space aside, fast food joints like KFC and Pizza Hut are available on the premises. Look out for the giant climbing boulders by the road. This park also features a concrete bowl park with many street features and a bike park with BMX race course and North Shore elements.
