Next to the Fat Tire Bike shop has a menu that leaves even the pickiest of eaters excited. Breakfast is excellent here and the drinks are handmade and perfect to quench your thirst any time of the day. They do close early during the week. occasionally they have live bands outside in the winter months. check their schedule. This is not the "western" part of Cave Creek but the cowboys don't shy away from good food and drinks.

If you like Mexican food, this is the go to. The setting is like none other you've been to. Inside the front door is a pond with ducks, swans and turtles. You can sit right next to it and enjoy the silly antics of those creatures or sit inside for a different view. Excellent Margaritas and occasionally the Mariachi band will serenade you.

Drinks & Nightlife

Not just your average bar...this place offers some of the best in western lifestyle. Occasionally a horse may meander in on the dance floor. There is live bull riding Friday evenings, in which you yourself can participate, if you dare. The burgers are some of the best in town and the cheese curds are to die for. The Cowboy salad will excite any rustler and then you can kick up your heels on the huge dancefloor.

One of the oldest businesses in town in an incredible historic building and if you're a Pittsburgh Steeler's fan, it's a hot spot. Game days are one of the things to be sure and partake in, IF you can find a spot to stand. The service and food is always consistently good. They have different bands most weekends that will engage all the dancers and music lovers. "Mogallon" is one of my favorites playing country rock and 80's rock along with many country classic favorites. On good days, there will be horses parked right in the parking lot. Stop over for pictures and visit with the local cowboys and cowgirls.

Trails leave from this property and a short hike, bike or ride into the back entrance of Cave Creek Regional park. With trails like the Slate trail, Quartz trail, Mine trail and the Flume trail you will be enjoying the mountain desert like nowhere else. Most trails loop for seeing different sights throughout the park. You will see every activity on the trails and the trail courtesy goes to Horses first, bikes second and hikers last. bikers should always stop and move off trail until horses pass. Try to be visible to the animals so to not spook them. Riders will usually express gratitude in passing. Hikers should also move off trail for the above 2 activities. Please be aware of your area.

Because we have water!!! A huge lake full of fish if you desire to cast a rod out and test your luck and share you tales!! You can rent boats at the marina for another fun filled activity. The drive to the lake is breathtaking and tummy tickling to say the least. When you crest the desert hills full of cactus and Palo verde trees, the view of the lake is stunning!! I recommend a drive out if nothing else. Small cafe/restaurant just before the marina is a great stopping place for lunch. Watch your speed on the road, it is lower than you think and there are friendly officers/rangers out there to surprise/remind you of that too. The sights are too beautiful to zip on by anyway. Take your time.
