Neighborhoods
Situated as the first neighborhood just north of Buffalo's downtown core, Allentown provides of vibrant theater, art, food, and nightlife scene. This eclectic neighborhood provides all the antique shopping one could hope for as well. The shops, bars, and eateries are all easily navigable by foot, as they are situated on one main strip in Allentown. However, you may venture down the by-streets, enjoying the historic and colorful architecture of some of Buffalo's oldest homes. Allentown's sister neighborhood, Elmwood Village, is also within walking distance, so it's easy to experience Buffalo's most vibrant neighborhoods!

Gabriel's Gate reflects the quirky eccentric appeal of Allentown, replete with mounted animals and year-round Christmas statues from your favorite Christmas claymation films. While Anchor Bar has gained the reputation of being home to the first buffalo wing, it stops there for the locals. Gabriel's Gate hails some of Buffalo's biggest, juiciest (yet crispiest) wings. Try the BBQ flavored wings and you won't be disappointed! Not a wing fan? Their menu offers a wide variety of options, and they're known for the French Onion soup as well as their wings!
