Food Scene
This place can be hard to find because it is set back from the main road but it is well worth the hunt. I don't care for blue cheese but this place makes the best blue cheese steak I've ever had. They have a nice courtyard in the back which is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine or cocktail before or after dinner.

Situated on a bluff overlooking the Guadalupe River, this spectacular restaurant nestled under the shade of towering oak trees has been the perfect getaway for a unique casual dining experience. Situated on the banks of the Guadalupe River in New Braunfels between Austin and San Antonio, the Gruene cotton gin processed crops raised by area farmers until the wooden structure burned to the ground in 1922. All that remains of the water-powered mill today is the three story brick boiler room – now the Gristmill River Restaurant & Bar.

Parks & Nature
Right around the corner from us is Landa Park where the Comal River Springs are located. These springs are the beginning of the Comal River. Seeing that much water coming out of the ground is amazing. There is a train for the kids to ride, put put golf, paddle boats, fishing & ducks to feed. There is a spring fed swimming pool, picnic areas and more. Lots of fun for the kids.

There are 2 tube rental companies right outside our gate. You can walk across the street or go nextdoor rent tubes from either outfitter and their shuttle bus will bring you right back to the condos.

You will find everything from soda straw water slides to wave pools & funnel cakes. Take your ice chest and picnic under the trees. Just don't bring in glass, styrafoam of alcohol. Check their website for cooler size limitations.
