SEA WATER OLYMPIC SWIMMING POOL
The Deauville swimming-pool has many virtues: sea water pumped offshore and heated to 28° C all year long, a 50m long Olympic basin and a unique architecture signed by Roger Taillibert, a high-level sport equipment architect at the international level. From the outside, it seems a shell. Inside, a large vaulted roof catches the sun. It has been completely renovated in 2006. Air dehumidification, solarium, changing rooms, water treatment, acoustic systems, coloured paint, and furniture: everything is nice and new.

The 450 Pompeian baths’ cabins of Deauville, spread out 9 Art deco-architecture courts, can be rented for one day, one week, one month or for the whole season.
You can choose among three options: beach side on the famous Boardwalk, boulevard side with the shallow inside pools and bathing courtyard side, with the atmosphere of the Roaring Twenties. Reservations open every year in January at the “Établissement des bains de mer”.
Enjoy modern architecture, pure lines and mosaic décor…a refined universe with atria, a fountain, galleries…
Paddling pools situated in the internal courts (behind the Boardwalk) are exclusively reserved to children and for their favourite activity: splashing about under the supervision of parents…Extra clean water: a basin is equipped with a permanent water-filtering system; in the other, water is changed every day!

The globetrotting couple, who met in Ze Kitchen Gallery, a temple of Franco-Asian cuisine, also has stints at Robuchon, Dupin and Chateaubriand under their apron strings. They however chose to open their restaurant in Deauville, where Charles spent his holidays as a child. Together, they conjure up vibrant, lively dishes in which Normandy country produce is mixed with perfectly judged Asian influences: cod and haddock fritters, piquillo pickles, velvety butternut, pan-fried foie gras and sesame, fried egg, mousse of white tarama and roe of flying fish, ravioli of marinated beef with mushroom stock…
