Our favorite new coffee shop in the neighborhood. Sweetleaf started in Long Island City and has now added it's 3rd location in Greenpoint in a converted garage. Great tunes always playing, fantastic coffee and pastries, and the staff is friendly (Christian is the best dressed barista in town).

Casual eat in or take out spot for fresh seafood. Lobster rolls are on point and priced reasonably. Portions are generous. We recommend the lobster rolls, clam strips, New England clam chowder, Mahi-Mahi sandwich and the salmon. $1 oysters during happy hour.

Lovely little Korean BBQ joint on the corner of McGorlick Park (probably our favorite small park in the city). Wings, tacos, bimbimbap, and kimchi. Service is on point and they serve up a great list of wine, beer and sake.

Happy hour every day of the week with $3 drafts and they've got a great selection. Like the name says, emphasis is on the whiskey and burgers, but they've got a great beer selection and the kitchen is open till 2am. Jeff is our favorite bartender there.

A must if you are visiting Greenpoint! The only bar on the water...The Brooklyn Barge is a seasonal bar that also serves tacos, sandwiches, fries and salads to a local crowd that appreciates the view and hospitality. Ask for one Tommy or Jim (owners) and tell them Freddy sent you. You will not regret making the trip...especially since it's walking distance from our apartment!

Newest park to be developed in Greenpoint a few years ago. Great view and connects to the pier to pick up the ferry. Nice spot to go and hang with friends, sit on the pier or get some sun before grabbing a drink at The Brooklyn Barge.
