Nice outdoor patio for waterside eating. Indoors at the Emmerson is kinda like an upscale country mall. Good for gifts. They have an open mic on Tuesdays still and the food is excellent, but honestly I miss it when they held the open mics at the other structure called the Catamont. Now the Catamont is only rented for events. Still worth the trip though.

10 to 15 min drive up rt 10, fork off to the left on rt 11, cull de sac at the end where the two track road begins. Nice wide and empty trails for secluded hiking through old growth forest. Beautiful views. I think about 2 1/2hrs to the peak.

There is a long trail that goes over the mountain to Roxbury. There is an old abandoned ski resort somewhere up there.
