In my opinion, this is one of the best parks in the country. The view is postcard stunning. We have a game package and love to go and enjoy the games. If the Pirates are in town during your stay, try to check them out.

We do not visit this place enough. It is one of the better museums in the country. Spend the afternoon here and then walk through Oakland and see the sites.

If you like gardens, you will love the Phipps Conservatory. This is located in Oakland, close to the Carnegie Museum and the University of Pittsburgh. This is a very relaxing and entertaining afternoon.

They keep adding new places to the North Shore. Try to take a walk between PNC Park and Heinz Field along the river. This is a great walk to enjoy the water and see the city.

This is a great place to walk and relax. See where the original Fort Pitt was, visit the Fort Pitt Museum if you like, and enjoy the fountain where the Ohio river starts.

If you like to people watch, this is the place to go. There always seems to be tons of people and activities. We were there a couple of days ago and the place had 200 people taking a free yoga class. Plus there are four coffee shops and a ton of restaurants including Five Guys and Primanti Brothers.

If you are a gambler, this is a great stop. I have enjoyed the expansive buffet and have gambled a little. But many of my friends stop here before and after the Steelers games and have a great time!

I love this place prior to the Steelers games. Of course it is jammed at that point but the burgers and nachos are perfect complement to a cold beer or wine :-)

To me, this is a must see if you stay with us. Go for a nice lunch or happy hours relaxation. Great wings and mac and cheese along with a huge selection of beer! There is a full menu in the guidebook at Sweetbriar.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in town. The services is impeccable and we have never had a bad meal. It is not cheap but you will feel spoiled. Plus they have a very nice bar.

If you ever watch the best places to eat in the country on public TV, they always mention Primanti Brothers. It is a must stop for lunch if you have time as the sandwiches are very unique. Bring your appetite. The servings are huge.

This is a 14 minute walk from the house and a great way to start the day. They are SO friendly and happy to serve. It is located right next to the Bigham Tavern.

This Russian restaurant is on the other side of Mt Washington but not too far. I have not had the pleasure of eating there but one of our guests have and they raved about it and highly recommend it.

This is the closest you will get to the feel of NYC. Stroll the streets late at night and the bars will be packed and the sidewalks full. Parking is a bear so plan accordingly.
