Hiro Sushi is our favorite sushi place in town. It does not have the flair or crowds of Karma downtown, but more of a family friendly locals restaurant. Parking is easy with their parking lot.

Never would I have expected to have good cajun food this far from the Mississippi, but this place is tasty. The restaurant is simple as they base their business on carry out orders. The red beans and rice is my favorite.

Hermits Rest is all the way on the west side of the South Rim. Take the bus out there and enjoy the view! My favorite is riding my bike out to hermits rest and back to the visitors center. You can ever rent bikes at the canyon visitors center.

Oak Hill is a simple sledding hill operated by the Kaibab NF. It features a parking lot, outhouse, and a small windbreak shelter. No concessions, no buying sleds, just park and sled. A very popular spot on the weekend in the winter. Only 3 miles down Route 66 to the west from the cottage.

A very popular spot on the weekend in the winter. Only 3 miles down Route 66 to the west from the cottage.
Snowbowl is Flagstaffs local ski hill. It is about an hour and half drive from the cottage. A VERY popular winter weekend destination. Plan for a long but fun day!

This is my all time favorite place in Flagstaff. I find it a great glimpse of local American Indian history. The sites are incredibly well preserved. The main site is handy-cap accessible. The views of the painted desert are unparalleled.
