Yes, this is THE Hampton Court Palace - a royal palace in the borough of Richmond upon Thames, upstream of central London on the River Thames. Building of the palace began in 1515 for Cardinal Thomas Wolsey, a favourite of King Henry VIII. In 1529, as Wolsey fell from favour, the Cardinal gifted the palace to the King to check his disgrace; Henry VIII later enlarged it. Along with St James's Palace, it is one of only two surviving palaces out of the many owned by King Henry VIII.

Inspired by Renaissance art and his Grand Tours across Europe, he created a sequence of breath-taking and surprising vistas. The landscapes form living works of art into which Hamilton placed follies for dramatic effect.

The ground level railway is for the large scale trains. The elevated railway is for the smaller scale trains. We have been running passenger trains on the miniature railway for over 66 years.
