This is a casual grab and go pizza place - they have a few tables for seating outside and sell pizza's by the slice. They also have other great Italian food. The calzones are amazing! They deliver on Postmates.

One of my favorite bar/restaurants. Totally casual and has a rock-n-roll vibe. Right on the PCH with views of the ocean. Love their sliders! There is a cool speakeasy next door.

A very short walk away from the beach house. This delicious Italian restaurant is open for lunch/dinner and brunch on the weekends. A little pricey but so yummy.

My favorite shopping
These are some of my favorite places to shop all within walking distance of the beach cottage.
This is a gorgeous outdoor shopping mall only a short 15 minute walk or 5 minute bike ride from the beach house. It has a bunch of well-known stores like Sephora, H&M and Urban Outfitters but also cute boutique shops as well and a ton of places to eat (see my restaurants guidebook list for my fave places to eat here). You can also just go and sit outside at their tables and chairs that faces the PCH/ocean and relax.

This is my go-to spot for cute women's apparel that wont break the bank from dresses to jeans and adorable tops and jewelry.

Places for kids to play!
Aside from the Pier and beach which is a short 10-15 minute walk, there are several parks nearby and a jungle gym on the beach!
Lake Park is a HUGE park located on Main St. and 11th. A short 5 minute walk from the beach cottage. It has picnic tables, a big grassy area and playground. Right across Main St. is another large park with space for kickball games (ball and bases are in the cottage's 2nd bedroom closet).

If you take 9th Street straight to the beach and cross over the PCH, take the stairs down to the pathway and on the beach you will see a new playground right on the beach!
