In addition, just a short distance along the A4 towards Marlborough is the largest man-made mound in Europe, the mysterious Silbury Hill, compares in height and volume to the roughly contemporary Egyptian pyramids, and West Kennet Longbarrow - a neolithic burial chamber more than 5,500 years old.
