This place is worth the drive! Arrive early. At peak times, the line extends well out the door into the parking lot.
Stick to your ribs down home cooking for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have pie happy hour. Meringues are up to 6" tall! By the slice or take a whole pie to take with you.

The lake levels wax and wane as much as 25 feet. It changes views and access. Ask your host for current views and levels.

Traveling the area
It is best to have a car or boat to get around out here or rent a golf cart two blocks away. There are ride services, and the bus system is about 6 miles away into Austin . There is no bridge across Lake Travis. Therefore, five minutes by boat. Maybe 45 minutes by car.
