In late summer, blackberries grow all along the highway and bike trail down in Juliaetta and it's a fun family activity to go pick bucketfuls! Just wear long sleeves to minimize thorn scratching.

Most of the year (except when the bears are hibernating) you can see them quite close up. There is no charge, you just walk right up to the fence. We recommend going mid-day because they are more active during their lunch time, coming in from the field to eat.
