Apart from being one of the masterminds behind the railway system in Florida, Mr. Flagler and his family played key roles in developing Palm Beach into the culture and community it is today. The museum itself used to be his family home and now is open to the public. It is a breath taking property that is both aesthetically pleasing and full of historical information.
Side note: If you dare, take a walk around the property towards the Royal Poinciana Chapel (towards the left if you are facing the museum) and you will see enclosed by a fence the oldest Banyan tree on the island of Palm Beach.
