We came for a wine tasting as well as lunch & it was an outstanding experience. Georgina & Coco welcomed us & gave us a superb introduction of their wines. There’s a range of tastings (@ different price points) which can be used towards wine purchased. The pinot noirs & most of the whites are just delicious & Georgina’s introduction & explanations were excellent! The highlight was lunch at a set $90 for a degustation meal with wine pairings for an additional $30! Excellent value & a great way to experience their wines with food. The standard of food was exceptional - fresh, delicious & innovative. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves & the views are to die for as the location is at the top of the hill. Reservations are necessary & this is definitely a must do when visiting Adelaide Hills!

Enjoyed the wine tasting experience. Different prices for tasting and all reasonable. No charge if you buy wine.
We did the degustation for lunch. Every course was well done. The only complaint was two of us couldn’t eat it all - the serves were so generous. The quality was exceptional.

Murdoch Hill is another prime example of a local producer with a key focus on sustainability, a reflection of a family who's love of the land spans over 80yrs.
Their wines offer a diversity of grape varieties which cellar hand Jess explained are sourced regionally to best illustrate what the Adelaide Hills and surrounding areas have to offer.
Our wine flight showcased fine examples of young, vibrant, fresh and juicy offerings that with minimal intervention are designed to drink 'today'.
The beautiful cellar door sits seamlessly amongst ancient gums whilst it's canine mascot Rudy stole my wifes heart everytime he rose to greet another arriving guest.
Support Local by making a quick detour the next time your up this way and visit Murdoch Hill, it's definitely worth it.

We've been twice now, and both times we met different lovely staff who are clearly passionate about wine. Everything they offer is fantastic for the price, the location is stunning and the cellar door is bright and clean.
Great experience! The drive from Hahndorf into the winery is incredibly scenic. At the cellar shop you can build your own picnic hamper from selection of wines, cheeses, chocolates, crackers, wooden boards, picnic rug & more - everything you need for a picnic is there. We found this to be a very organised and convenient arrangement. Everything was delicious - artisan quality & reasonably priced. Needless to say their wines are fantastic, especially desert wine. You can picnic on their lawns enjoying picturesque views of the vineyard. They have benches as well as lounger chairs - very comfortable seating arrangements. Service was good. Overall we had a great time and will be back.

Would give this place 6 stars if possible. Everything here was exceptional from the location, service wine and food. We started with a tasting and the guy was lovely and let us taste as many wines as we like as he said not reasonable to expect people to buy wine they haven't tried, even the more premium ones, he was right too we loved a lot of the wines and bought a lot. Then we moved to the dining room and again the service was outstanding. The food was exceptional to match as they kitchen respected the quality of the ingredients and elevated them further with great technique and flavoursome sauces. Would definitely recommend this place as the best experience we've had at a winery.

Beautiful vineyard, with a lovely cellar door and restaurant. We booked an estate picnic at ‘The Boatshed’ and enjoyed a light lunch under the shade. Food was very fresh and tasty, but probably a little overpriced if you were just looking for a simple picnic. Gluten free and vegan options are provided. Can also purchase extras for the picnic experience such as a bottle of wine, as well as a round of golf balls to play a game of ‘closest to target’ near the lake.
The estate is very nice to walk around, and all the picnic spots have shade, cushions, blankets and a box with sunscreen and hand sanitiser.

Ok so you really need a whole day to see this place fully. I spent about four hours there and wasn't able to do it justice. There is a huge variety of great cars motorcycles and trucks on display. Allow a lot of time to check out the bikes and replica garagein the back half of the museum. The mill museum at the tail end is interesting as a little surprise.
