People debate whether Cilantro Indian Restaurant or Taj has the best Indian cuisine in the USF area. They are both very good. However Taj can't be beat for their $10 dollar lunch buffet.

Drinks & Nightlife

Shuffle is a bar - but not your ordinary bar. With 4 indoor shuffleboard courts, what is old is new again and very hip. Great way to spend a few hours and have fun with friends or family, grab a local beer, and snack on high-end pub food. My longtime friends Jennifer and Danielle had an epiphany and now their dream is nearly a year old.

Arts & Culture

There are a lot of museums in the area that are amazing - the Tampa Museum of Art, the Tampa History Museum, the St Pete Museum of Fine Arts, The Chilhuly Exhibit in St Pete and the Dali Museum to name a few. The MoPA often gets overlooked but it shouldn't be. Check out what exhibits they may have to offer while you are in town.

This little known gem is amazing. Sulphur Springs was a tourist destination many decades several ago, and now is on the boundary of Historic Seminole Heights. The Museum hosts exhibits, lectures, and family events about this unique cultural area that used to be the outskirts of Tampa. Visit them to learn more about Old Florida culture and the natural history of the Hillsborough River and springs that feed it.

It's "everything else" because it's really something else. Also known as Gott Glass Studio & Gallery, Susan Gott is an internationally recognized glass artist who happens to live right here in Tampa. She opens her studio for hot glass demonstrations regularly (search her website) and also hosts groups who want to blow their own glass - from pumpkins, to holiday ornaments, to paperweights, you can create your own glass art with her and her studio staff. The demonstrations are truly amazing to watch - particularly when she pours for her life-size glass creations.
