Damazan has a very pretty arched, square and has a spectacular series of summer fetes. Also, just outside of the town (on the Buzet side) there is a wake-boarding lake with a swimming area and beach.

The main shopping and supermarket stores are to be found in pretty Aiguillon, which also has excellent transport links all over the region. It has a market on Tuesday and Friday mornings.

Clarens lake outside town has a lovely sandy beach, with kids playground & a shady picnic spot in situ. In the high season there's a nominal entrance fee for swimming there and lifeguard supervision.
