El Valle de Viñales es declarado Paisaje Cultural Protegido por la UNESCO y Monumento Nacional Natural. En su recorrido podrá visitar la Casa del Veguero, donde podrá apreciar las plantaciones de tabaco que allí se encuentran cultivadas, así como el Mirador de Los Jazmines, lugar que ofrece una hermosa vista general del Valle de Viñales, a la Cueva del Indio con paseo en bote por el río que corre en su interior y al Mural de la Prehistoria que muestra el proceso de evolución de la vida en la Sierra de los Órganos, desde el molusco hasta los primeros habitantes indígenas del lugar.
The Viñales Valley is declared a Protected Cultural Landscape by UNESCO and a National Natural Monument. On your tour you can visit the Casa del Veguero, where you can appreciate the tobacco plantations that are cultivated there, as well as the Mirador de Los Jazmines, a place that offers a beautiful general view of the Viñales Valley, the Cueva del Indio with a walk by boat through the river that runs inside and to the Mural of Prehistory that shows the process of evolution of life in the Sierra de los Organos, from the mollusk to the first indigenous inhabitants of the place.

Los inicios del tradicional cañonazo de las 9:00 pm se remontan en el siglo XVIII, cuando desde la Fortaleza de San Carlos de La Cabaña disparaban una salva a las 6 am para anunciar la apertura de las puertas de la ciudad, que se cerraban a las 9 de la noche. En aquel entonces la capital de la Isla estaba rodeada por una muralla que definía sus límites; de aquella obra quedan algunos tramos en lo que hoy es La Habana Vieja, Patrimonio de la Humanidad.
The beginnings of the traditional cannon shot at 9:00 p.m. date back to the 18th century, when a salute was fired from San Carlos de La Cabaña Fortress at 6:00 a.m. to announce the opening of the city gates, which closed at 9:00 p.m. the night. At that time the capital of the Island was surrounded by a wall that defined its limits. Some sections of that work remain in what is now Old Havana, a World Heritage Site.
