Small, hole in the wall coffee shop. They have a bigger cafe in south town. Good coffee, lovely atmosphere. They are also right on the way to the Farmer's market during the summer.

Amazing tacos! And try the DIY Guac as well. Not cheap, but definitely worth it for the food. They don't take reservations and tend to have a long wait list, so show up early.

A funky, fusion restaurant with nachos, burritos, and a variety of other specialty dishes. While the owners have changed a few times, the restaurant has been around for years (my parents went there back when they were in college). It is one of our long time favorites. This is a great place to go listen to live music on the weekends. Just a warning, it can be very loud given the small space.

An amazing farmer's market, every Saturday (mid April through fall) down on the riverfront. Whether you are shopping or just wanting to go for a beautiful walk and listen to some local musicians, this is a must see! We go every Saturday that we can.

Luckiamute Landing State Natural Area
Beautiful, quite spot, just off the Luckiamute river.
Short walks through beautiful wetlands. This is a good spot for those who are interested in seeing some biological diversity that is easy to access. Also great for families!

A bit of local history from WWII. Fun fact, the main house on the property that you are currently staying was originally an officer's quarters in Camp Adair, built in 1940. It was later moved to it's current location and remodled.
