Drinks & Nightlife

I love Gus O Connor's Pub in Doolin for the great food, atmosphere and music. I like to go there for 7.30 p.m. Have dinner at 8p.m. and then catch some live traditional Irish music (starts at 9.30p.m.) *Live music every night during the season. Weekends off season. Play an instrument yourself? Bring it along and join in with the musicians at Gus O'Connors in Doolin!

Poulnabrone Dolmen situated in Burren in the little townland of Carron- a truly special place like no other. Top tip - Take the Fanore Coast Road R477 from our place to Fanore- Ballyvaughan. Then go to Poulnabrone Dolmen and come home via Kilfenora (check out the Celtic High Crosses here). This route is much nicer than the more direct route the gps/ sat nav will send you!

Not an official park here- a very special place. Park up in Ballyryan....known as Ballyreen locally. Walk along the limestone pavements overlooking Aran Islands and Galway / Conemara coastline directly across from you. Very off the path beaten part- get here early and you will have the place to yourself!

Bakery

Best sourdough, ciabatta and cinnamon buns. People queue here for the Portuguese tarts alone. Go early (before 11:30am) so as not to be disappointed. Sells out fast!
