So, I recently went here for breakfast one day for the first time, and oh my! The breakfast pastries are all made in house right in front of you. Also, their breakfast items are amazing. Their coffee is Oregon based I believe and has a different flavor than the stuff you are used to at Starbucks.

So this is my favorite place to go multiple times a week. Mostly because 1. they are cheap, 2. they have really good coffee, and 3. they have a really chill atmosphere and employees. The Coffee Bean is a chain, but beats Starbucks by a long shot. I actually think it is right around half the cost of what Starbucks costs, depending on what you get.

I mean....if you have never been to an IKEA before, you HAVE to go to this one. Again, only 5 minutes from the apartment. This one just opened up at the beginning of this year and everything still smells brand new! It is massive. Also, the cafe at IKEA is unbelievably good. I know, right. Their meals are super cheap, somewhat "exotic", and fast. We like to eat lunch there and then walk it off through the whole store and pick up a few items!

600 S Ikea WayI mean....if you have never been to an IKEA before, you HAVE to go to this one. Again, only 5 minutes from the apartment. This one just opened up at the beginning of this year and everything still smells brand new! It is massive. Also, the cafe at IKEA is unbelievably good. I know, right. Their meals are super cheap, somewhat "exotic", and fast. We like to eat lunch there and then walk it off through the whole store and pick up a few items!
So this is a little hidden gem that a lot of tourists do not know about. We frequent here about once a week. This is one of the biggest and most beautiful shopping centers I have ever been to. Not only that, there is the Galleria mall right across the street from it. I am not lying when I say that you can easily spend 4 hours here and still not have enough time to see it all and experience it all. It has unique stores, to major chains, to really great restaurants to eat at! Ask us for more info about where to go here!

The Americana at Brand

This is one of the biggest and most beautiful shopping centers I have ever been to. Not only that, there is the Galleria mall right across the street from it. I am not lying when I say that you can easily spend 4 hours here and still not have enough time to see it all and experience it all. It has unique stores, to major chains, to really great restaurants to eat at! Ask us for more info about where to go here!
Sightseeing
Of course I have to recommend this! Only a 25 min drive with traffic to the top. The views are AMAZING. You get to see the entire Los Angeles area from Santa Monica, to Long Beach, to Anaheim. Go and spend 30 minutes at the observatory and you will not regret it! Keep in mind, I highly suggest going early morning when they open (around 9-10am) to avoid parking nightmares and crowds. Also it is open late (until 10pm) so you can go check out the stars for a late night adventure!
