Sentosa is worth a visit, the cove is really nice for drinks and walking around. About 12$ for a cab from the apartment. You can get to Sentosa by cable car too, if you want to try that.

There's a good NTUC 24 hours branch on Tanjong Pagar road at Tanjong Pagar Plaza (15 mins walk). There is another NTUC at Chinatown Point (exit from Chinatown MRT) in the basement level. NTUC is a leading chain of supermarkets in Singapore. The others are Giant, and Cold Storage.
