Great views of the Gulf of Mexico. You can also hike, bike, or kayak through the park. It is really big, with many options to choose from. You get a serene feeling here. This park is awesome.
Walking along the preserve paths you may see some historic home sites that were inhabited from the end of 1800s to the 1960s, one of them is situated on the top of the Temple Mound. Emerson Point Preserve is rich in various native ecosystems, for example, beaches, coastal strands, lagoons, salt and mangrove swamps, numerous underwater grasses, tropical hardwood hammocks, and forests.

If you want to spend a great time among fountains, public artwork, beautiful flowers, playground, fishing pier, a skate park and amphitheater, you should definitely visit Riverwalk on the Manatee River. The Tidal Discovery Zone is the very place where you can connect with nature.
Great place to walk and enjoy Manatee River Views. It also has 2 or 3 kids playgrounds and beautiful swings spread across the whole area.

One of the best mansion type museums I've ever been to. The have one in Miami, but this one is 10 times better. It will literally take you a whole day to walk though the gardens and to check out the art, flowers of statue of David surrounded by fountains.

Moreover, you can see modern exhibit items from the very first days of Cape Canaveral and NASA.
Visiting the planetarium, adults will be impressed no less than their kids as there they offer mind blowing space shows that have high quality sound and visual effects. The video you will see will be not only entertaining but also educational, so you will spend quality time.
