The Garrison Restaurant was recently remodeled and re-opened a couple years ago. It has a slightly elevated pub food menu, music on the weekends, but is also kid friendly. You can even walk there from our house.

The Lakeside Lodge and Grille has porch dining and a great menu. It's about 8 miles north of the LG village in Bolton Landing. I encourage you to take a drive and walk around that quaint town. It has great shops and restaurants -- a bit more upscale than the Lake George Village. It is more summer residents, and not as many hotels and tourists.

King Neptune's is a typical tourist town bar with music. It's right on the water and will show you a fun time and has bar food as well. It's kid friendly during the day and has a nice outdoor patio overlooking the docks.

Sightseeing
There are a variety of boat rides via the steamboats! You can tour the lake or go on a dinner cruise. It is very enjoyable especially when the weather is beautiful around sunset.

There is a large outlet center just off exit 20. Great for a rainy day, but you do walk from store to store outside so bring an umbrella!

We do go to Rite Aid for any medicines and they have do some some limited groceries, like chips, beer and soda that is reasonably priced and very convenient to the house. It avoids having to drive through the village, which can take some time.

This is a SMALL grocery store good for a limited shop. If you need to do a big shop, go to the Price Chopper in Queensbury or Warrensburg--about 10 minute drive.
