Please note that times and days of operation vary greatly upstate and often change suddenly. Lately, we love Rosalino's diner for breakfast and tuesdays at Andes Hotel for mexican night.

Play Putt Putt at Putt Putt Van Winkle ( really, you should, it’s special) 15 min drive to Bovina, the most charming Putt Putt that ever was. Great artist made course that tells the tale of Rip Van Winkle. They leave clubs and balls out even when they are not there, so you can go play anytime. On the weekends, they serve yummy sandwiches and pastries. Ice cream bars and sodas. Picnic tables on the stream. Lovely!

Bring a towel to lounge in the grass. Free swim class for any kid (wow!) Monday-Friday mornings. (call the pool between 8am -9am to inquire about a class time that suits your child)

A few of our favorite things to do….

Farmer's Markets (mostly seasonal, May-November) Andes Teeny tiny but super sweet. Farm veggies, soaps, rolling pins and baked goods. Saturdays 10-2 Margaretville Pakatakan Farmers Market Saturday 9am-1pm Huge! Every bit of farm produce, meat, cheese baked goods you could want. A few food stalls. Lots and lots of local items. Bovina Thursdays 4-7pm Fresh produce, meat and local products. Delhi Wednesdays 9am-2pm courthouse square Lots of vendors, produce, meat, baked goods, cheese, jewelry, spirits, pottery and more!

Ballantine Park

Visit Ballantine Park (also just around the corner, across from the post office) Beautiful, lush park by the stream. We love to walk to the very end of the park where the grass meets the stream. Perfect spot for a picnic or to dip your toes. Our pup’s favorite spot!
