Tapas galore! A whole range of interesting and different and always delicious flavors and textures. Full bar with interesting drinks in addition to the usual. The also have a complete dinner menu that we have never been disappointed in. It is a little pricey, but we always have fun and have never been unhappy with either the food or drink. Their dining room is not large, but the outdoor area makes up for that and we generally prefer it.

the food is exceptional and the proprietors are super friendly. They have been written up in Arizona Highways for their great subs, especially the Philly Cheesesteak. We have enjoyed many wonderful meals there and my personal favorite is the Lobster Roll!

A classic diner scene in an old gas station, complete with gas pumps and a 1930's era sedan in the driveway. Their burgers are great and I love the shakes made with whole milk and ice cream. They now have a complete bar, but it is still a wonderful place for families. They have indoor and outdoor seating, on the corner at the start of Old Town Cottonwood.

This is one of our favorite places to have breakfast when we are celebrating something. It is a little pricy, but the food is outstanding and the breakfast drinks are fabulous. They excel in presentation and we have never had a bad meal there. The indoor space is small, but the covered outdoor space is quite roomy.

A historic building dating to the 1920s, this restaurant and brewery has a beer garden for a casual drink with friends, a taproom for sampling their signature brews, and an upscale dining room with a full bar and Chef Bobby D’s legendary wood-fired cuisine. They also restored many of the building’s historic features—most importantly the belfry, where a new bell once again sounds to bring travelers and friends home.

A self-guided, 1/3 mile loop trail leads you around and through the Tuzigoot pueblo, a 110-room village built around a thousand years ago. The pueblo trail also offers outstanding views of the Verde River and Tavasci Marsh. Another 1/2 mile trail takes you to an overlook of Tavasci Marsh. Both of these trails are accessible to wheelchairs and strollers, though the pueblo trail has some steep sections that may be challenging. Check out a full list of things to do at Tuzigoot National Monument. Tuzigoot National Monument is a fee area. Unless you have or qualify for any national park passes, the standard entrance fee is $10 per adult ages 16 and up. Established December 8, 1906, Montezuma Castle is the third National Monument dedicated to preserving Native American culture. This 20 room high-rise apartment, nestled into a towering limestone cliff, tells a story of ingenuity, survival and ultimately, prosperity in an unforgiving desert landscape. There is a short 1.3 mile walk and a shaded picnic area. The park is 15 miles from our house.

Montezuma Well is a sub-unit of Montezuma Castle. The land around Montezuma Well has been home to many prehistoric groups of people since as early as 11,000 CE. The first historical groups came to the Verde Valley after Arizona became a territory in 1863. Some accounts say Spanish settlers traveled through earlier, in the 1500s, but did not settle in the area. Managed by the Park Service, it is located about 15-20 minutes to the North. From Montezuma Castle National Monument, head toward I-17 and go North 1 1/2 miles to the next exit (Exit 293). Total trip between Montezuma Castle and Montezuma Well is 11 miles.
