Rockport Beach is considered a "Blue Wave" beach. It has covered picnic cabanas, BBQ grills, beach playground areas, a volleyball court, a public boat launch and fish cleaning stand, a walking trail, 800' fishing pier, an area for water skiing and boarding and a bird sanctuary. It's a great place for the whole familly!
Rockport Beach

San Jose Island is a short passenger ferry boat ride from Fisherman's Wharf in Port Aransas. Ferry service is limited; be sure to plan ahead. The pristine beaches of this uninhabited island are open to the public but closed to vehicles, which makes for excellent swimming, surfing, beachcombing and shelling. Lightning whelks, shark eyes, sand dollars and many other species of shells sprinkle the sandy shoreline.
