Lots of great hiking trails and vistas. You won't believe you're still in LA city limits! If you're visiting in the winter months, do beware that even though the forest is only 30 minutes (or less) from the casita, there may be snow and other extreme weather due to the elevation.

There is a closer location than this, but it's THE busiest Trader Joe's in the US. That's why I love going to this one istead. Getting into the parking lot and parking is WAY easier, not to mention the store is less crowded.

This park is beautiful and featured in many commercials and films. Go for a picnic, a nice walk around the lake, and take a swan paddleboat out on the lake! The cafe at the lake, The Beacon, has delicious food and drinks.

Experience the rides at Pacific Park on the pier, the arcade and lots of restaurants/ food vendors to choose from. Don't miss the incredible views from the carousel. You can even take a trapeze lesson here!
