Parks & Nature

An entire landscape in the downtown of a city! There is historic interpretation available but primarily there is the opportunity to gaze across at Ireland or back at a sweeping view of St. John's and our womb of a harbour. You can seek out nooks in the cliffs where you only see the sea, then walk home, or downtown enroute. The potential extremes of setting and activity within an afternoon's walk are a quintessential feature of St. John's .

Arts & Culture

The Rooms houses our provincial art gallery as well as our archives and cultural and natural history museum. The restaurant has a view of the downtown and out the Narrows what makes it hard to justify eating anywhere else if your opportunities are rare.

Sightseeing

Although fallen victim to more recent development, historically Quidi Vidi was a fishing village at the City's ocean periphery. From the apartment it's an excellent site seeing walk to go around the lake, take in the village, the brewery and perhaps a fine dining experience and walk home or head through Cuckhold's Cove to the trail that connects Quidi Vidi with Signal Hill.
