Great pasta restaurant a few minutes from the apartment. Very nice food and lovely place. A bit expensive, but it's worth it if you love pasta!

A arabic food restaurant served by kilo (you wheight your plate and pay for the pound). Food is good and price is decent. People come from all over town to eat there. I like it, and recommmend it!

Maybe the best ribs (cattle, not pork) you will eat in your life. They are famous for this plate, and serve it in nearly every table. The place is always packed, but fairly expensive. Worth it, though

The best seafood restaurant in town. I personally love it! The problem is it is extremely expensive (top new yorkers level), but everything is top notch! I fully recommend it!

Best sushi place near the apartment. The food is extremely fresh and good, service is top level and price is fair. Recommend taking a cab (usd 5 tops) rather than walking. Place is small, but nice!

Very fancy Pizza Place. Squared pizza sold by lenth (you buy a meter of pizza!!!) in multiple flavours. It's a very good option for dining!

One of the three best all you can eat steak houses of Brazil. This model, called 'churrascaria rodizio' is famous in Brazil, and you eat all cuts of beef, very high quality. Expensive, but worth it!

A cheaper option of 'all you can eat' steak house very near the apartment. Quality is not nearly close to Vento Haragano, though good, but price is much lower. Worth to try it if want to save a bit!

A bakery one block away from the apartment. Great option for breakfast... Please eat the "Pão de Queijo" (cheese bread), mini version sold by kilo. Very typical brazilian dish, very very nice!

Very good bar serving Brahma Chopp (a Brazilian draught beer) and mainly seafood dishes (though they also offer meat). Very expensive, but always packed... people really like it! I recommend.

This bar is the one that stays open the latest hours in Vila Madalena. I've seen it open up to 6am!!! It offers nothing special in terms of food or drinks, but it's always packed! People love it!

Every Saturday there is a fair here called Benedicto Calixto Fair. It is a small version of the San Telmo fair in Buenos Aires, and runs during the entire day. Must visit!!! Locals love it!
