One of my favorite haunts in the city - it's a biergarten in a popular section of town. There's always something going on, though I'd recommend avoiding it late on Fri/Sat.

I wanted to throw a special mention in for Franklin Court. There's a museum here (open daily 9-5, $5/adult) that is the best $5 you can spend, if you like early American history.
