New in the neighborhood: Het Amsterdams Proeflokaal ('Amsterdam Taste Place') combines a restaurant, a seafood restaurant and a beer cafe in one really large place. And it's quite coay as well.

They are also known for a phenomenon referred to as 'getting food from the wall'. A must-try as well! (p.s. The Airbnb guide shows an incorrect location. It's located next to the Etos and Albert Heijn across the street.

There is the Leidseplein (plein = square) and the Rembrandtplein. Both have a collection of cafes and bars. My recommendation would be the Schiller Cafe.

The most famous park in Amsterdam, and probably Holland. Great for walks and lounging. Just be careful not to walk in the roads. This is a 'bike highway'.

The whole of the Jaagpad (especially towards the 'New Lake' or Nieuwe Meer, is worth a walk. The north takes you past a variety of housebats, towards the South you will see a large lake.
