Use Mountain Rides RED route from Elkhorn to River Run area
Shuttle bus to/from River Run base area (NOTE: only operates in winter during ski season). Double-chk local schedule. Typically every half-hr in the AM...returns are once per hour. Last bus leaves RR area just after 4 PM.
Stops at Ranch Clubhouse and at Elkhorn Rd/Morningstart Rd intersection.

Turn off ID75 at SNRA headquarters N of Ketchum. This bumpy dirt road ends after ~3.5 mi, but will get definitely bring you up-close and personal with steep mountains. Several wilderness area access trails start at the end of this road.

Local hot springs...
Note: no access after 9PM due to Fed'l Reg's. Located about 10 mi out Warm Springs rd. Last 6 mi are dirt/gravel, but its well-graded and folks drive "city" cars out there all the time. There are 2-3 stone pools built up along the edge of Warm Springs creek and are about 10 ft below the edge of the road grade about 50 yrds further up the road beyond the parking area that is just past the steel bridge. There is minimal grade along this section and is usually plowed just a bit beyond the springs parking area. In winter, beware of veering too far L/R...folks often get stuck in the plow piles that fill the drainage ditches along the roadside.
