Beautiful natural shingle beach. Great for fishing or just taking in the incredible views. There is the Chesil Beach Centre with lots of information and a cafe. In the summer months you can go on a glass bottom boat ride. In the winter it can be an amazing place to get blown away and watch the power of the ocean.

Watersport equipment hire. Ideal location to get out on the water for some adventure.

Really interesting place. There are also larger attractions here. Abbotsbury Swannery and St Catherine's Chapel.

A really interesting village a little way along the coast road between Weymouth and Bridport. Very historic. Most of the properties are thatched. Cafe's, pubs, gallery's and antique shops. Really interesting place. There are also larger attractions here. Abbotsbury Swannery and St Catherine's Chapel.
Inexpensive and interesting. You can actually handle some the the exhibits (including decommissioned guns) dress up in some uniform get in a tank etc. It's not a massive place but does it well.

Indoor climbing wall. Small but is good fun. Only open evening and weekends. Not expensive and you can hire the climbing shoes there. You don't have to be a member to use it just pick one of the non member options when booking.

Weymouth town centre is around a 30 minute walk from the cottage. One way to get there is to walk down the Roswell Trail. This is a path that was the old train line from Weymouth to Portland. Parts are very scenic and there are no vehicles (although you do have to watch out for some bicycles!). The town end is about 5 minutes walk from the main beach.
