Decorated as a traditional farmhouse, the sizable but dimly lit dining room features wall-ensconced Japanese porcelain and other artifacts, stone-carved tables and an actual tree, around which the walls and ceiling were built. The menu here is a compendium of Japanese country foods, which push way beyond sushi and ramen (though the ramen is delicious)." --Westward

Herb's has been around for over 50 years and has live music 5 nights a week and Robbie pours a mean cocktail. This is my fave dive bar and place to dance. There's a broad age range and a sweet outdoor patio.
