Recently opened in San Carlos. Good pizza, even if a little foofy in some cases (lettuce does not belong on a pizza, ever!) Try the meatball appetizer, everyone raves about them, and it makes a meal given the generous chunk of ciabatta that comes with it. About 21 draft beers with thorough descriptions on the blackboard (I didn't know there was such a thing as IBU's). Very nice, open air frontage and bar.

This longstanding, old time "diner" type coffee shop is the best around, if you asked me. Truly family owned and operated (second and third generation, I think), extra friendly hospitality, counter service, of course (a pre-requisite for any diner worth its salt), and just great food. All the historical old pictures and stuff you'd expect. Order an iced tea and you get the pitcher! Lots of selection for breakfast and lunch, both great, and the patty melt just might be the best I've ever had, anywhere.
