Fun on the Lake
Across the street from our home, this is the place to rent a pontoon boat or use the boat ramp to put in your own boat/kayak/canoe/SUP. They also have a great shop with snacks, wine, beer and Lake Rabun souvenirs. If you choose to rent a boat, we recommend reserving your rental as early as possible!

Lake Rabun has a public beach and boat ramp 3 miles from our house. The beach is sandy and there is a roped off swimming area with a floating dock. Parking is $5.

Hikes
A short and beautiful waterfall hike! The hike begins off of unpaved Bear Gap Road.

The Angel Falls Trail explores two tumbling waterfalls, Panther Falls and Angel Falls, in a beautiful creek valley. Hiking less than two miles, round trip, the trail is a fantastic family-friendly hike. Don’t stop at the first waterfall, there is a 2nd about 1/3 mile down the trail from the first.
The Angel Falls Trail officially begins in Loop 2 of the Lake Rabun Beach Campground. You will need to park in the small roadside lot on Jo King Lane and follow the short trail leading you to the trailhead.

Old 441 SouthA beautiful waterfall with a nice pool to splash around in at the bottom.
Directions: From downtown Lakemont, Take Old 441 S about 3.1 miles, Turn left onto Stonewall Creek Road (on the right you will see a Stonewall Falls Mountain Bike trail sign). Continue on this unpaved road for 1.3 miles and there is a parking area up the hill to your right. The trail is wide and well-travelled. Stay on the main trail for around .4 miles to the falls.
