Denver's Botanic gardens are sooooo nice! Changing seasonally with art installations annually, it's a nice peaceful outing while still being in the city.

Getting Around
You can access the Cherry Creek Trail off of Bannock and Spear.
From the house walk north up Delaware until you come to Sunken Gardens Park (8th Ave and Delaware). Follow the trail diagonally across the park to Spear. Cross Spear, taking a left on West bound Spear Ave (Traffic will be heading to your left), you will see an entrance to the trail about 100ft down Spear.
