Mt Tambourine is approx 15-20 mins drive inland. A small but thriving village atmosphere with much to see and do. Well known for its many nature walks and waterfalls and cafes and restaurants to relax in afterwards. There are some fabulous look out points with great views inland. Well worth a visit if you have never been there before. We have a few brochures at the house of what to do and see, or go online and visit the Mt Tambourine Tourist Centre.

Family day out
For families with children this is a must see. Dreamworld is a theme park and zoo situated on the Gold Coast in Queensland. It is Australia's biggest theme park with over 40 rides and attractions. It is about 15 mins drive from the house.

Some serious family fun in the warmer months WhiteWater World is co-located with Dreamworld featuring lots of great slides, splash and a hydrocoaster. Again only 15 mins from the house.

My fav beach
This beach is a little closer and less well know to tourists than Surfers Paradise. There are trees and grassed land that one can have a picnic in the shade

City/town information
This is one of my fav spots to take visitors for a day out. There's a great walk around the Burleigh Heads National Park Headland. Get yourself out into nature then stop at one of the local cafes for lunch, or take a dip in the ocean. Tip: best to get there early to get a parking spot and before the heat of the day sets in. Don't forget a hat, water bottle and good walking shoes. It's about a 30mind drive from the house.
