"Lower Broad" as the local call it (1st-5th). This is where all the high octane activity is. The "Honky Tonks" are all between 4th and 5th on the North side of the street. Everything else are large, celebrity owned clubs and eateries. If you want a small crowd, hit it during the day and spend your evening in Seedy Printer's Alley.

Printer's Alley has a long, interesting and seedy history. IT has been the brothel district, the printing district and became a nightclub district in the 1940s. When the nightclubs opened, the alley became a place where performers like Chet Atkins, Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams, and Dottie West made their mark. During this time, the sale of liquor for consumption on premises was illegal in Nashville. However, establishments in Printers Alley served it anyway, claiming it had been brown bagged by customers.
There is tons of history here and some great watering holes. Less crowded than broadway

If you visit Nashville and don't take the time and money to go to The Country Music Hall of Fame, you're missing the point. Its expensive and enormous but you don't have to see all off it. Hit the rotating exhibition and see the rest the next time your in town!

Nashville's largest park has a scale replica of The Parthenon that houses a floor to ceiling sculpture of Athena. The park also offers two playgrounds, a Shakespearean ampitheater, a large pond, two art centers, sand volleyball courts, a large dog park, a botanical garden, big trees and lots of park swings. This is a great place to spend a day lounging.

Yes, we do all have at least one pair of cowboy boots. They are our work boots and our nicest shoes. You will never see a local walking around in cowboy boots unless they are going to their construction job or a wedding.
