Sightseeing
Blakeney is one of our favourite places to go, its perfect for walking the dogs and easy for children to splash at low tide (very muddy perfect for mud sliding make sure you have towels and change of clothes) The Watch House is beautiful and you can image a simpler time, you can walk all the way out to it. Make sure you look back and enjoy the views of Blakeney and Cley.

Sherringham is great for the beach as well as visiting the well known steam train station, Sherringham has a lovely quirky high street that feels like a step back in time, Petty Corner is just up the road and a really nice wooded walk with the dogs or kids.

Heydon is a beautifully kept village, the tea rooms, pub and bakery are all very good and the village is well worth a trip as its only about 5 miles from us. It makes a great bike ride trip. There is a large Estate at Heydon which you are allowed (at certain times) to walk around, all dogs are to be kept on leads. New additions to the village include a hair salon, antiques shop, florist, beautician, gift shop and interior design studio.

Heydon
Heydon is a beautifully kept village, the tea rooms, pub and bakery are all very good and the village is well worth a trip as its only about 5 miles from us. It makes a great bike ride trip. There is a large Estate at Heydon which you are allowed (at certain times) to walk around, all dogs are to be kept on leads. Salthouse is our closest coast, it has a pebble beach and a sharp drop in the sea floor, most people visit here for the amazing views both of the sea and looking back across the fields of cows grazing and small village views. The Deli and The Dun Cow are great. At the Dun Cow you can sit in the garden and enjoy the views over the salt marshes. This part of the coast is perfect for nature lovers and there is a National Trust nature reserve here.
Reepham is very close to us and you can find local amenities here. The Dial House is here for fine dining and cocktails, The Kings Head has more of a relaxed food menu, the food is very good and great value and very friendly. Kerries Farmhouse Pine has a great tea room in the old station and a really good gift shop and homeware store opposite if you fancy a mooch around. Kerries Farmhouse pine is a great place to park and walk along the Marriott Way, spoilt with countryside views on the old rail track, walk back and enjoy a coffee.

Cromer is approx 30 minutes from us and is a beautiful old fashioned sea side town with promenade. There are more shops, cafes and restaurants here to visit than sherringham but they are so close you could visit both in a morning or over a day depending on how much you want to do or see. There is a cinema here for rainy days. Cromer really is very cute and has a big carpark which is near the town and beach.

Mundesley is a small seaside resort but with a large sandy beach, there is a shop here and place to get ice creams etc but if your heading out here for the day I would recommend taking some extra food and drinks.

Overstrand is next to cromer and has a really lovely beach, it is easy to park here but there is a steep hill to get down to the beach. Grab some chips from The Bucket List van in the carpark.

Brancaster has an amazing beach, it's easy to park and walk to the beach. Apart from the toilets and little beach shack selling nets and inflatables there isn't anything there so you will need to take food and drink if your having a beach day. Watch out for the tides many people have been stranded stay close to the shore.

Happisburgh famous for the lighthouse pictured here. There is a new car park with toilets near the lighthouse and a good dog walking beach. I would recommend this as part of a coastal road trip to tie in with others places such as Mundsley, Overstand then onto Cromer.

Holkham beach is a must if you can whilst in Norfolk, it really is beautiful. Very dog friends and there is now a visitor centre with toilets and a cafe as you enter the beach area. The car park always looks busy but drive down and I'm sure you will find spaces as we have in the past. It's approx £5 to park for a couple of hours. The sea is about a mile walk from the visitor centre so be warned if you have a lot to carry or pushchairs. You can read the history of Holkham at the visitor centre, it's really interesting.

Wells is a lovely coastal town with lots to explore! A great place for crabbing and local fish & chips, the donuts are ace too! There are lots of little independent shops, the amusements, a really good play park and skatepark. The beach is amazing, very popular so gets busy at times, if we go we tend to go in the evening with the dogs and walk through the pinewoods then onto the beach. There are public toilets and a cafe down at the beach and parking is approx £5 for a few hours.

Wells-next-the-Sea
Wells is a lovely coastal town with lots to explore! A great place for crabbing and local fish & chips, the donuts are ace too! There are lots of little independent shops, the amusements, a really good play park and skatepark. The beach is amazing, very popular so gets busy at times, if we go we tend to go in the evening with the dogs and walk through the pinewoods then onto the beach. There are public toilets and a cafe down at the beach and parking is approx £5 for a few hours.
Old Hunstanton beach is great very scenic, Hunstanton town has the sea life centre and is home to Lavender field (if you can visit do) if you go down to the promenade be sure to grab a coffee and donuts from Mikeys Coffee they are the best!

The pub has a refresh a couple of years ago and the food is really good here (Sunday roast is top notch) booking is advised. The pub is on the way back from the North Norfolk coast so perfect pit stop on the way home.
