If you’re looking for some delicious food, hit up Cosmos in Orange Beach, or their sister restaurant just down the road GT’s on the Bay. They both sport a laid-back atmosphere, mouthwatering meals, and a medium price point on their menus. Cosmos is pet friendly, and GT’s has an awesome pirate ship playground with beautiful sunset views of the bay!

For an upscale fine dining experience, check out Fishers at Orange Beach Marina, or Louisiana Lagniappe at San Roc Cay. Call ahead to reserve a table and treat yourself to a luxurious dinner that will leave you feeling like the fine dining price tag was totally worth it.

Curb your sweet tooth at one of Matt’s Ice Cream’s two locations in Gulf Shores, where you can get a taste of the “Best Ice Cream in Alabama”, or have fun building your own gourmet milkshake at The Yard! (If you do decide to try out The Yard, be sure to call ahead and ask about their wait time. It can get pretty crazy!)

When it comes to night life that’s fun for the whole family, The Hangout is a great choice for a reason. With plenty of games, space, and live music, you can relax in some beach chairs and sip on libations while your kiddos hit the sandy playground! If you’re looking for somewhere hip to maybe try a new beer, pay a visit to our local Big Beach Brewing Company in Gulf Shores. It’s chill, pet friendly, and the live music is excellent!

There’s a Dollar General just down the road for your odds and ends, but if you need to go stock up on groceries, Orange Beach has a great Walmart Marketplace. Publix and a Rouses are also just down the road for your more niche needs!

It’s all fun and games ‘til somebody gets hurt. If something happens during your stay and someone needs emergency medical attention, there’s a very attentive Southern Rapid Care in Orange Beach, and a 24 hour Urgent Care center in Gulf Shores. For broken bones and general sickness, you can expect a little bit of a wait at both offices, just like any doctor. But I can tell you from firsthand experience, both places prioritize their emergencies. They take great care of their patients!

Everyone likes to do a little shopping on vacation! We have plenty of great local options for shopping, such as The Wharf and San Roc Cay for some unique boutique stores! And if you’re ballin’ on a budget, pop in Island Thrift and see what secondhand gems you can find!
