Great wee places for hungry travellers to eat out

Favourite food places locally, filled with life and people who want to spend time with each other.
A stone's throw from the apartment is the marvellous Hotel Du Vin. Luxurious hotel with a great bistro (interesting dishes cooked with imagination and flair) and a gorgeous bar. You can just pop in for an early evening cocktail (or a late-night dram on the way home) and 'coorie in' on a large velvet couch (casual dress is absolutely fine). Beautiful, lush interiors! Check out all the 5 star trip advisor reviews.

Just a 20 minute walk from the apartment. Favourite place to have a curry in Glasgow (there are loads of great places though). Situated in amongst the brick pubs and white-washed buildings of Ashton Lane. Open until 11pm Friday and Saturday night and they will try and squeeze you in, even when it's pushing closing time. They do a lovely Thali menu too (Monday - Thursday until 5.30pm, Friday - Sunday until 3pm). It's a small, snug little space with brilliant food and great service. Try and make time to go -you won't be disappointed.

A 10 minute walk from the apartment - located in Cleveden neighbourhood. A cosy, earthy bistro cafe (tasting menus) serving Shetland Oysters, Scottish Lobster and traditional fish and chips. Thoughtful options for the veggies too. They are the folk who also own the famous '6 by Nico' down in Finnieston. Online reviews speak for themselves.
