Chania is definitely a town to wander around, become an explorer and make your personal discoveries. These are my choices, a few recommendations, maybe some places to start your gustative journey with.

We first had dinner at Colombo by chance and we just kept going. Delicious food-Really cool owner, Miltos. Don't skip the mastiha aperitif served on the house.

(You can take the city bus leading to "Kounoudipiana" before the National Bank of Greece in the city centre, near the Puplic Market. You have to stop at "Venizelos' Graves"-ask the bus driver- and then walk about 200m to reach this place. Enjoy the best view of the town and find the pastry/coffeeshop "Koukouvaya". To return back to Chania, you have to take the bus from the same point)
