“Whether for the exhibitions, a cup of coffee/ light lunch in the excellent cafe, or a stroll around the gardens, a walk along stately Great Pulteney Street to The Holburne Museum is a must for those wanting to savour a flavour of regency Bath; for the 2004 Vanity Fair film starring Reese Witherspoon, Great Pulteney Street was transformed into 1820s London. ”

“This recommendation is all about getting you out of the heavily-trodden tourist routes in favour of some greenery. Follow Pultney Street out of town towards the Holbourne Museum. The cafe is simple, coffee is great. A lovely place to spend an hour taking in some natural beauty. ”

“if you like walking and views this is a great one to visit. Perched on the summit of a wooded hill overlooking the city, Alexandra Park is one of the best places to go for views of Bath and its surrounding countryside. It’s accessible by car or bus, or by climbing the zig-zag path that rewards your efforts with spectacular views once you reach the top. ”

“The 'Hovis' advert that used this location and aired on TV when I was a child is indelibly imprinted in my mind! Parking is readily available in the town and is just a short stroll to the famous Gold Hill. The film studios have the knack of dressing a location to the point of deception! The street is traditionally cobbled and quite steep, though there is a handrail for those less agile! The term quintessentially English certainly applies to Gold Hill. The term anti-climatic may also loom in one's mind!”

“Gold Hill is a steep cobbled street in the town of Shaftesbury in the English county of Dorset. The walk is only 20 minute car journey from Warminster. The view looking down from the top of the street has been described as "one of the most romantic sights in England."The view appears on the covers of many books about Dorset and rural England, as well as on chocolate boxes and calendars, famously appeared on the Hovis advert.”

“Avebury is part of an extraordinary set of Neolithic and Bronze Age ceremonial sites that seemingly formed a vast sacred landscape. They include West Kennet Avenue, West Kennet Long Barrow, The Sanctuary, Windmill Hill, and the mysterious Silbury Hill. Many can be reached on foot from the village. The Alexander Keiller Museum also displays many notable finds from the Avebury monuments. Together with Stonehenge, Avebury and its surroundings are a World Heritage Site.”
