Immersive Chinese tea experience in a private tea house
Immersive tea tasting in our little tea house, featuring different tabletop flower arrangements and aromatherapy every week!. There will be Chinese style tea art demonstrations and on certain holidays Guzheng ( Chinese musical instrument) performances. Guests will choose between black tea, oolong tea, yellow tea, green tea, dark tea and scented teas from China at different tea tasting times. I have been in touch with tea since I was 10 years of age and it has always been a part of my life. I am a landscape architect and an enthusiastic tea artist. After I moved to America, my partner and husband Joseph singlehandedly built the tea house for me, according to my design. Everything including the slab table was made by Joseph over a period of two years. Now I would like to share with others this tea house full of love energy and my love of Chinese tea, the etiquette of drinking tea and interesting stories of China.
Hiking with Goats
A guided hike through beautiful lake and mountain scenery, hosted by Pickles and Peanut, French Alpine goat brothers! Their "parents" come too, to ensure you are guided on the less-busy but still human-accessible trails. On the two hour adventure we will: - Meet at Grafton Lake parking area next to Grafton Road. - Start with 10 minutes of intros and "Goat 101" to learn how to safely interact with Peanut and Pickles. - Walk around the lake. - Stop at viewpoints along the way, where we'll offer to take photos of you with the goats. - End back where we started. Private hike options include: - Customized trail route such as up to the lookout in our main photo, or to cool natural tree forts! - Special arrangements for a longer, more challenging hike to the summit of the iconic Mount Gardner. A few considerations: Families as well as dogs on leashes are welcome, but please note that Peanut and Pickles are still growing and their headbutt play behaviour may intimidate children and dogs. You are welcome to request dates, but these will be considered "private hikes". This adventure is "rain or shine"! The boys look adorable in their rain coats, so (pending a major storm) we'll enjoy whatever mother nature brings our way. The boys can't wait to show you their beautiful backyard!

Experience Glass Project
While visiting the artist's studio, you learn the process of blowing glass, and basic glassblowing techniques including taking a gather, marvering, blow'n-cap, and shaping glass. With experienced glass artists, you make 2 to 3 small objects such as a paperweight, ornament/float, and/or drinking glass, to take home. Glassblowing is a team work. We strongly recommend to experience this with another person. If you are solo, you may still book a spot. However, the single booker should expect to finish earlier. Best to wear a cotton top and cotton pants. Open-toed shoes are not allowed. Please bring a pair of sunglasses with you. Be prepared to be hot and sweaty, and to have fun! BYOB if you like. We can be flexible. Feel free to reach out to us to schedule a specific date and time or a private group if you don't see it on our calendar. Other things to note... Your pieces will be ready to be picked up in 24 hours. Shipping available with additional fee.

Discover Pickleball in Boise as a Local
I love to share what I love about pickleball, the fastest growing sport in the U.S. It's very popular in Boise and there is a strong interest particularly with those new to the game. Through my past experience in teaching over 5 years, I have witnessed the enjoyment, mental and physical health benefits the game offers. Pickleball was called the perfect pandemic sport because of the social connections it created during Covid. This, along with vitamin D, being outdoors, group fitness, and naturally social distanced, the sport has changed many lives. People of all ages and abilities play immediately as it offers a short learning curve. It's also inexpensive and a perfect way to meet other like minded people, especially while traveling. I have enjoyed playing this sport in other countries as well during my travels and have met so many nice people.
